Publication Ethics

Accounting Crystal World: An International Journal is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity in all stages of the publication process. The journal adheres to internationally recognized ethical guidelines, including those established by the Committee on Publication Ethics, and applies best practices to prevent publication malpractice.

1. Ethical Principles

All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to uphold the principles of:

  • Integrity and honesty in research and reporting
  • Transparency and accountability
  • Objectivity and fairness
  • Respect for intellectual property

2. Duties of Authors

Authors submitting to this journal must ensure that:

  • The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere
  • All data presented are accurate, reliable, and free from fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate manipulation
  • Proper acknowledgment of the work of others is given through appropriate citation
  • All individuals listed as authors have made significant contributions and have approved the final manuscript
  • Any conflicts of interest are clearly disclosed
  • Research involving human participants or animals complies with relevant ethical standards, including obtaining necessary ethical approval and informed consent

Authors are also required to disclose any use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of their manuscripts, including the extent and purpose of such use. Authors remain fully responsible for the content of their work.

3. Duties of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Making publication decisions based on the manuscript’s scholarly merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope
  • Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and timely peer review process
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest and recusing themselves when necessary
  • Taking appropriate action in response to ethical concerns or misconduct

Editorial decisions are made independently, without discrimination based on authors’ nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or other personal characteristics.

4. Duties of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of the review process
  • Identify relevant published work not cited by the authors
  • Declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline review when appropriate
  • Refrain from using unpublished materials for personal advantage

5. Peer Review Process

The journal employs a double-blind peer review system, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers to ensure academic quality, rigor, and relevance. The Editor makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations.

6. Publication Misconduct

The journal has zero tolerance for:

  • Plagiarism
  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Duplicate or redundant publication
  • Improper authorship attribution

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., iThenticate). Suspected cases of misconduct will be handled in accordance with established ethical guidelines.

7. Retraction, Correction, and Expression of Concern

The journal will take appropriate actions when necessary:

  • Retraction for serious ethical violations or invalid findings
  • Correction (Erratum/Corrigendum) for minor errors
  • Expression of Concern when investigations are ongoing

All notices will be clearly linked to the original article to ensure transparency.

8. Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial, personal, or institutional relationships that could influence the research or its interpretation. All conflicts will be managed to ensure the integrity of the publication process.

9. Data Transparency and Reproducibility

Authors are encouraged to:

  • Provide access to underlying data where possible
  • Ensure that their research can be replicated and verified
  • Clearly describe methods and analytical procedures

10. Complaints and Appeals

The journal provides a transparent mechanism for handling complaints and appeals related to editorial decisions, peer review, or publication ethics. All concerns will be addressed fairly, objectively, and in a timely manner.

11. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Articles are published under an open-access license to ensure wide dissemination and accessibility of research.
