Author Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to Geoducation Journal must be original works that have not been published in any other media, avoiding excessive self-citation. This journal implements an Open Access system (Free for authors and readers). Authors are strongly advised to use a reference management application such as Mendeley.
Manuscript Structure and Length
The manuscript structure must follow the order: Title, Author Identity, Abstract (ID & EN), Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.
Manuscript length must be a minimum of 10 pages (excluding References), with a maximum total limit of 10 pages.
Main Writing Format
The entire text must use the Cambria font.

For paragraph formatting, the first line must be indented 0.5 cm, and every sentence must begin with a capital letter. Manuscript margins are set to 2 cm on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).
Details of Title, Authors, and Abstract
- Title: Written in Cambria 14pt, Bold, and Capital.
- Author Identity: Must include Author Name (11pt) and complete Affiliation (9pt) (example: Geography Education, Siliwangi University, Tasikmalaya (City), Indonesia (Country)). The Name and Email of the corresponding author are mandatory.
- Abstract (ID & EN): Must be dense, concise, clear, and specific, consisting of 200 to 250 words. The content must include the rationale, objectives, methods, results, and final conclusion.
- Keywords: No more than 5 words and arranged in alphabetical order.
Content of Each Critical Section
- Introduction: Describes the background, elaborates on the problem with a review of literature and previous publications, and explains the research gap and objectives. Must include citations from previously published articles in relevant journals.
- Methods: Explains the research stages in a structured manner, including specifications of materials/tools, sampling techniques, measurement procedures, research design, and data analysis.
- Results and Discussion: This section is not separated. Present the results concisely, supported by illustrations. The discussion must explain the scientific findings supported by data and literature, link them to the issues in the Introduction (the gap), answer the research objectives, and explain the research impact at the end. Authors must compare their results with hypotheses/standards through primary reference sources.
- Conclusion: Only answers the research problems and objectives. It is not a summary of the research results.
Illustrations (Figures, Tables, Equations)
- Figures or Tables may be placed within a text box.
- Figure captions (example: Figure 1. Naga Village Map) must be centered, 10pt, and at 300 dpi resolution.
- Tables are numbered sequentially (1, 2, 3) with the title above the table. The source must be cited in the bottom right corner.
- Mathematical equations must be given sequential numbering at the end of the line (example: (1)).
References and Citation
- Citation Style: Must use APA 7th edition.
- In-text citations and the Reference list must be synchronized.
- Number of References: Minimum of 30 references.
- Primary Sources: 70% of the total references must be journal articles.
- Age Limit: Sources used must be published within the last 10 years.
- DOI: Every journal article reference must include a DOI/Article link.
- Prohibition: Using sources from websites is prohibited.
