Publication Ethics
GEOSEE (Geography Science Education Explored Journal) adheres to high ethical standards in scientific publication and follows the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers are expected to uphold integrity, transparency, and accountability throughout the publication process.
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is an original work, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal.
Each manuscript submitted to GEOSEE will be checked for similarity using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate.
The acceptable similarity index is no more than 20% in total. If a manuscript exceeds this limit, authors will be asked to revise it before the manuscript can proceed to the review stage.
All sources must be properly cited, and all significant contributions must be appropriately acknowledged. Authors are also required to promptly inform the editor of any errors or conflicts of interest discovered after submission or publication.
Editors are responsible for ensuring fair and objective manuscript evaluation, maintaining confidentiality, and making publication decisions based solely on academic merit. Editors must take appropriate action if any ethical issues or suspected misconduct arise during the review process.
Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining publication quality by providing objective, constructive, and timely feedback. Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents and declare any potential conflicts of interest that may affect their judgment.
Publishers are responsible for ensuring that ethical standards are properly implemented, supporting the editorial process, and cooperating with editors to handle suspected misconduct, article retractions, or corrections when necessary.
