Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The journal accepts manuscripts that report the implementation of community service, service-learning activities, empowerment programs, capacity building, technology application, mentoring, training, and other forms of community engagement. The manuscript must show clear outcomes and benefits for the target community.

1. General Requirements

  • The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted to any other journal.

  • The manuscript is written in English using clear academic language.

  • Authors must follow the journal’s template.

  • Plagiarism must be below 20%.

  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data, citations, and the ethical conduct of community engagement.

2. Manuscript Length

The manuscript should be between 4,000–8,000 words, including tables, figures, and references.

3. Manuscript Structure

The manuscript must include the following sections:

  1. Title – Clear, specific, and no more than 16 words.

  2. Author(s) Name and Affiliation – Include institutional affiliation and email.

  3. Abstract – 150–250 words summarizing background, purpose, method, results, and impact. Include 3–5 keywords.

  4. Introduction – Background of the problem, urgency, relevant literature, profile of the community, and research objectives.

  5. Method – Location, participants, approach, implementation steps, materials/tools, and duration.

  6. Results and Discussion – Implementation outcomes, participation level, challenges, solutions, benefits, evaluation, and comparison with previous similar works.

  7. Conclusion – Summary of results, impact, recommendations for sustainability.

  8. Acknowledgment – If applicable, mention funding or institutional support.

  9. References – Minimum 15 recent and relevant sources, formatted in APA 7th Edition style.

4. Writing Format

  • Font: Times New Roman, size 12.

  • Line spacing: 1.15.

  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides.

  • Tables and figures must be numbered and explained clearly.

  • Use APA 7th Edition citation style consistently.

5. Ethical Considerations

  • Community needs and consent must be respected.

  • Avoid revealing personal identity without permission.

  • Activities and reporting must follow ethical and professional standards.

6. Submission and Review Process

Manuscripts are submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Each manuscript will undergo editorial screening, plagiarism checking, and double-blind peer review. The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks.

7. Article Processing Charge (APC)

Authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of:

Rp. 300.000 (Indonesian Rupiah)

The APC is requested only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.
Payment instructions will be provided in the acceptance email.
