Editorial and Publishing Process

The editorial and publishing workflow at Jurnal Pengabdian Akuntansi untuk Masyarakat, Organisasi, dan Rakyat (PAMOR) follows internationally recognized scholarly publishing standards to uphold quality, transparency, and ethical research dissemination. The steps below outline the systematic process applied to all submitted manuscripts:

1. Initial Submission Assessment

Every manuscript submitted through the OJS system undergoes an initial review by the Editor-in-Chief or an appointed Handling Editor. This stage evaluates alignment with journal scope, adherence to formatting and submission guidelines, completeness of required documents, and plagiarism level using similarity detection software.

2. Assignment to Handling Editor

Manuscripts that pass the initial review are assigned to a Handling Editor with expertise in the relevant subject area. The Handling Editor manages and supervises the manuscript throughout the review and decision-making process.

3. Double-Blind Peer Review

The journal applies a double-blind peer review process involving at least two external reviewers. Reviewers evaluate originality, clarity, methodological soundness, theoretical contribution, and relevance to accounting and related fields. Additional reviewers may be invited if required.

4. Editorial Decision and Revision

Based on reviewer evaluations, the Handling Editor issues one of the following editorial decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Authors are required to resubmit the revised manuscript along with a detailed response to reviewer comments. In some cases, subsequent review rounds may be conducted to verify that revisions have been fully completed.

5. Acceptance and Technical Editing

Once accepted, the manuscript enters a technical editing stage, which includes professional copyediting, grammar improvement, style consistency checks, reference accuracy verification, and formatting according to the journal template.

6. Proofreading and Author Approval

Authors are provided with page proofs for final verification. Only minor corrections that do not alter the core content are allowed at this stage. Authors must confirm that the proof is accurate before the article proceeds to publication.

7. Final Online Publication

After author approval, the article is scheduled for publication in the upcoming issue and made available online via the journal’s OJS platform. Each published article receives a DOI and indexing according to the journal's database coverage.

8. Post-Publication Oversight

The editorial office continues to monitor published articles for academic integrity, citation accuracy, and compliance with ethical standards. Any post-publication concerns are addressed following established procedures for corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern, in accordance with COPE guidelines.
