Author Guidlines
A. GENERAL GUIDELINES
- Manuscripts submitted to the editorial board of Jendela PLS: Jurnal Cendekiawan Ilmiah Pendidikan Luar Sekolah must be in the form of research papers.
- The paper must not have been published in any other media. If the article or part of the article has been published or presented, the author must submit a statement to that effect.
- Manuscripts must be written in standard Indonesian or English, using Times New Roman 12 font, A4 paper size, with margins of 2.5 cm at the top, bottom, right and left, and single line spacing.
- The length of the manuscript submitted should be between 5,000 and 7,000 words (including abstract, images, graphs/tables and bibliography) or a minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 12 pages. The abstract should be written in Indonesian and English between 150 and 250 words and accompanied by 3-5 keywords.
- Manuscripts should be submitted online at: http://ejournal.unsil.ac.id/index.php/jpls
- Manuscripts submitted to the editorial board will undergo a blind review process by expert partners, and the decision to accept them will be made by the Editor. Manuscripts that are published will be edited by the editorial board without changing their substance.
B. TECHNICAL GUIDELINES
Title
- The title should be concise, effective and informative.
- Manuscripts should be accompanied by the author's identity, including: the author's name without academic titles, institutional affiliation, institutional address, and e-mail address.
- The author's institutional affiliation should be the place where he/she is active.
- The author's name and order of authors (if there is more than one author) are based on the extent of their contribution and participation in the research and writing of the report, and all authors are responsible for the content of the manuscript.
Abstract
- The abstract should be written concisely and factually, covering the research objectives, research methods, results and conclusions.
- The abstract is written in English and Indonesian, with a length of between 150 and 250 words in one paragraph.
Keywords
- Keywords consist of 3 to 5 words and/or groups of words.
- The words are typed in italics, with a semicolon (;) between each keyword.
C. STRUCTURE OF THE ARTICLE
The article consists of:
INTRODUCTION
- The introduction is written using Times New Roman 12 font, single-spaced and bold. The content of the introduction is written using Times New Roman 12 font, with straight margins and 6 pt spacing below.
- The introduction should contain the background of the research, related studies that have been conducted, the objectives of the paper, the scientific benefits and novelty of the paper, as well as the purpose of the paper and the research methods. Generally, the introduction is not too extensive, around 2 pages with single spacing.
Research Methods
- The Research Methods section should be written in Times New Roman 12 font, capital letters, single-spaced and bold. The content of the theoretical study should be written in Times New Roman 12 font, with straight margins and 6 pt spacing below.
- The Research Methods section should provide a brief description of the research methods used, the research subjects, sampling techniques, data collection techniques, analysis and statistical models used.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
- The results and discussion are written using Times New Roman 12 font, single spaced and bold. The content of the results and discussion is written using Times New Roman 12 pt font, straight margins, with 6 pt bottom spacing.
- The presentation in the results and discussion is written clearly and concisely, containing the research findings, differences between the results or findings of the research and previous writings by other researchers; the discussion contains a description and analysis of the research results.
- The results and discussion can be combined appropriately or can use small subheadings according to the needs of the discussion.
- Simplify tables and use open tables, and focus maps on the object being studied; do not make the file size too large or complex (preferably in JPG format); tables and figures should be numbered sequentially. Example of table writing: Table 3.
- The technique for citing references uses footnotes, in APA Style format. For further details, see the example in the technical provisions for citation mechanisms.
CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
- The conclusion and recommendations are written using Times New Roman 12 font, capital letters, single spacing and bold. The content of the conclusion and recommendations is written using Times New Roman 12 font, straight margins, with 6 pt spacing below.
- The conclusion contains a summary of the research and answers to the research questions.
- Recommendations are written concisely in the form of suggestions for future research and practical recommendations (if any).
DAFTAR PUSTAKA
- References are written using Times New Roman 12 font, single spaced and bold.
- The literature listed in the bibliography only includes sources that are referenced or quoted in the manuscript.
- References cited in the manuscript should refer to one or more scientific journal articles.
- The manuscript should refer to or quote one or more articles from JENDELA PLS: Jurnal Cendekiawan Ilmiah Pendidikan Luar Sekolah.
- The reference list should be written using the APA Style 7th edition citation system. Further details can be found in the technical requirements for writing the reference list.
- Use reference management software (EndNote, Mendeley, or Zotero) to write references.
