Retraction Policy

Policy Statement

Jurnal Ekonomi Manajemen acknowledges the efforts of authors in preparing their manuscripts and following the journal’s peer-review procedures. However, there remains the possibility that published articles may need to be corrected, withdrawn, or retracted for academic or ethical reasons. Accordingly, corrections, clarifications, retractions, or apologies may be issued if an article is found to violate publication ethics. These processes are conducted based on strict criteria in order to maintain trust in the integrity and authority of the journal’s electronic archives. The journal is committed to preserving the quality, reliability, and completeness of scientific records for researchers and librarians.

Article Retraction

A retraction is carried out when an article is found to have violated scientific or ethical standards, including but not limited to double submission, false authorship claims, plagiarism, data fabrication or falsification, the use of fake authors, or similar misconduct. Retractions may also be issued to correct significant errors that occur during the submission or publication process. Retractions may be initiated by the author or the editor with the approval of the editorial board of Jurnal Ekonomi Manajemen.

The journal applies the following retraction mechanisms:

If ethical violations are identified prior to publication, the Editor will return the manuscript to the author accompanied by a formal retraction letter from the Editor-in-Chief.

If ethical violations are identified after publication, one or more of the following actions may be taken:

  • The online article will be preceded by a retraction notice, to which the article link will resolve before allowing access to the full text.
  • The original PDF version of the article will be retained with a watermark on each page indicating that the article has been “Retracted.”
  • The HTML version of the article may be removed.

In order to ensure that retractions are conducted in accordance with best practices in academic publishing, Jurnal Ekonomi Manajemen adopts the following retraction procedure:

  1. The alleged ethical violation is reported to the Editor of the journal.
  2. The Editor follows the step-by-step procedures as outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  3. The Editor’s report is forwarded to the editorial board, which serves as a forum to provide advice and recommendations on ethical issues and to ensure consistency with accepted ethical standards.
  4. The final decision regarding retraction is communicated to the author and, if necessary, to other relevant parties, such as the author’s affiliated institution.
  5. A Retraction Statement is published online and announced in the next available journal issue.
