PROTEACH is a peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to advancing rigorous scholarship and transformative practice in professional teacher education. The journal publishes high-quality empirical research, systematic reviews, design-based studies, and theoretically grounded contributions that enhance teacher preparation, professional development, and instructional practice across diverse educational contexts.
PROTEACH particularly emphasizes research that advances: innovative pedagogical models and instructional design in teacher education, assessment and evaluation frameworks for teacher competence and professional growth, technology-enhanced and digitally mediated learning in teacher preparation and classroom practice, curriculum reform and instructional innovation within professional education, educational policy analysis related to teacher professionalism and instructional quality, STEM/STEAM integration and interdisciplinary teaching practices, and literacy and numeracy development from a teacher capacity-building perspective.
Interdisciplinary submissions are welcome, provided they demonstrate clear relevance to professional teacher education and pedagogical innovation. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review to ensure scholarly excellence, methodological integrity, and meaningful contribution to international discourse.
Manuscripts must strictly adhere to the [PROTEACH Article Template], [Author Guidelines], and the journal’s [Focus and Scope]. Submissions that do not comply with these requirements will be declined at the preliminary stage.
All manuscripts must undergo similarity screening using a recognized plagiarism detection system. The similarity report and certificate must be uploaded as supplementary files at submission.
PROTEACH applies a stringent initial editorial evaluation. Manuscripts lacking scholarly rigor, methodological soundness, or compliance with ethical and formatting standards will be desk-rejected. Only submissions that meet the journal’s academic and ethical criteria will proceed to double-blind peer review.
