AUTHOR GUIDELINES

1. Aims and Scope

Proteach: Teacher Professional Education and Innovation publishes high-quality empirical, theoretical, and methodological studies that advance knowledge in teacher professional education and instructional innovation.

The journal particularly emphasizes research that advances:

  • Innovative pedagogical models and instructional design in teacher education

  • Assessment and evaluation frameworks for teacher competence and professional growth

  • Technology-enhanced and digitally mediated learning in teacher preparation and classroom practice

  • Curriculum reform and instructional innovation within professional education

  • Educational policy analysis related to teacher professionalism and instructional quality

  • STEM/STEAM integration and interdisciplinary teaching practices

  • Literacy and numeracy development from a teacher capacity-building perspective

Manuscripts must demonstrate conceptual rigor, methodological robustness, and significant contribution to international scholarship.


2. Types of Manuscripts

Proteach accepts:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Theoretical and Conceptual Papers

  • Systematic Literature Reviews / Meta-Analysis

  • Policy Analysis Studies

All submissions must present clear research questions, theoretical grounding, and methodological transparency.


3. Manuscript Preparation

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear, academic English or Indonesia.

Length

6,000–9,000 words (including references).

Structure

Manuscripts should be organized as follows:

  1. Title (concise and informative)

  2. Abstract (150–250 words)

  3. Keywords (3–5 keywords)

  4. Introduction

  5. Literature Review / Theoretical Framework

  6. Methodology

  7. Results / Findings

  8. Discussion

  9. Conclusion and Implications

  10. Acknowledgment (if applicable)

  11. References


4. Formatting and Citation

  • APA 7th edition style is required.

  • All references must include DOI where available.

  • Tables and figures must be integrated within the manuscript.

  • Use the official journal template.


5. Ethical Standards

Proteach adheres to international publication ethics standards.

Authors must ensure:

  • The manuscript is original and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • All authors have approved the submission.

  • Proper citation and acknowledgment of sources.

  • Ethical approval and informed consent (where applicable).

  • Disclosure of funding sources and conflicts of interest.

All manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening.
Maximum similarity index: ≤ 20% (excluding references and properly cited quotations).


6. Data Transparency and Reproducibility

Authors are encouraged to:

  • Provide data availability statements.

  • Share datasets or research instruments where appropriate.

  • Ensure methodological transparency for replication.
